AchieveMents: Since its inception in 1991, Academy of Management Studies has emerged as one of premier institutions in the country providing research, training and consultancy services to government organizations and international agencies like World Bank, UNICEF, WFP, USAID, Planning Commission, Government of India, Directorate of ICDS, Government of U.P., Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, etc. Working largely with government clients, over the last several years, we have established our credibility in conducting training programmes, monitoring & evaluation studies, impact assessments studies and large-scale socio-economic surveys, primarily in the education and health sectors. Essentially, the organization is a quintessence in itself for working in the Education and Health sectors.
Some of our significant milestones encompass the study on the Role of Private Schools in Primary Education for USAID sponsored Girlsââ¬â¢ Education Project in Uttar Pradesh. We were commissioned by USAID, under its mission of advocacy and promotion of primary education in India, to conduct an exploratory research so as to understand the various aspects governing the working of private schools in the State as also to evaluate their role in the primary education system.
We also conducted a Panel Study of Education Status in Rural Areas for the Ministry of Human Resource Development (GoI) through NCAER. The study was conducted in 7 major states of the country including Uttar Pradesh and it aimed at finding out the effect of economic development on demographic changes in rural India with special emphasis on the educational status. The study generated a unique time-line data set for tracking the educational advancement in the rural areas of the country.
Further, we have undertaken a number of studies in Education in Uttarakhand and Jharkhand ââ¬â Impact of In-service Teachers Training Programme on Teachers Classroom Transaction and Perception about Effectiveness of the Programme; Assessment of Impact of the Inputs Provided under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, for Children with Special Needs; Assessment of Status of Enrolment, Retention and Achievement Levels of Minority Children and Strategies to Meet their Educational Needs; and Contribution of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas towards Education and Mainstreaming of Out of School Girls Belonging to the Schedule Tribe are just to name a few.
Besides, we have earned a unique reputation for its expertise and organizational resources in designing and implementing capacity-building plans and organizing decentralized training programs at various levels. Since 2001, we have been conducting Mobile Training of AWWs and AWHs for the Directorate of ICDS, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Besides, we have also conducted the Training of PRI Members on Early Childhood Care & Development under the Kopal project for UNICEF. Additionally since 1998, we have been operating a Government of India approved Middle Level Training Centre (MLTC) at Moradabad with complete hostel facility for training ICDS supervisors for the Directorate of ICDS, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
To add strength to our endeavours, we have a team of management/technical experts from various sectors including that of Education, who often come handy in providing requisite support and guidance for all its accomplishments.
