AchieveMents: • Operation on street: - Where the street youth, orphans and child labour in the unorganized sectors will contact by our staffs and they will make sure that those street youth get a home and care and protection. • In the process there are can be several youth identified at the contact centres whose responses and coping machismos are totally inadequate and so self defeating that they needs more than reinforcements on the street itself. These youth needs more institutionalized care and follow up – a place to come home, away from the harsh reality of the street, at least for some time. • Education for the street youth and orphans: Education can be one prime medium to come out of the social reality and make changes in their personnel life as well in the process they can make changes in the society. It requires a home and facilities to support educational need. The project will support such children, who can’t go back to home or whose concept of family is missing. The project objective defines the process of their support. Our community involvement will look for their educational support and care. The project will address itself to the reality of the street youth of Siliguri and to the society which churns them out. • To contact and follow up as many street children youth as possible within their area and place of operation so as to identify their problems and needs and help them draw up personal goals in life. • To support those who can not come off the streets, so as to prevent them from becoming the others to achieve those aims, they set for themselves. • To from groups, associations and the like of street youth and working. • To provide night shelters, club rooms, hostels, training and study centres, youth village etc. which will support their rehabilitation. These would provide wholesome recreational. Cultural and social activates, counselling facilities, referral and advocacy services. • To plan and implement employment training, employment generation and employment betterment programmes and skill training. • To involve the society at large and youth in particular to work for and with the street youth and children, so us to evolve a movement that will create an awareness of the situation and about the structural causes as embedded in society through the media of press, publications, T.V. and other tools like internet and networking media. • To study and conduct research and documentation about the situation of such youth groups. • To collaborate with government and non-governmental agencies and persons working in the field or otherwise, to ensure the welfare of street youth. • To provide the street youth quality education through modern education process. • To help the street youth and children to come out of their difficult situation.
