AchieveMents: TO PROMOTE AND PRSERVATION Bhand Pather is exclusively a community centric art .People belonging to special community of Bhands in Kashmir perform this art .Since the art is clubbed with the livelihood of the community, as such the entire community wishes its continuation and survival .This piece of art known as Bhand Pather is community sharing entertainment exercise .People of this performing art.The community of Bhands treats Bhand Pather not only a piece of art but a sacerdotal community legacy, which they stand committed to pass it on to new Generations. Since it is a hereditary art form, Bhands see to it that is survives the ravages and the challenges of the changing times . Magun, the head of the Bhand group who is endowed with a role and responsibility to direct the characters involved in the pather (play) to perform their roles in tune with the sprit and letter of the pather .Secondly.Magun,shares exclusively the responsibility of training budding Bhand actors, thereby he acts as a link to transmit down to younger generation the art ,skills and shared legacy. Indiduals mater less in Bhand Pathers as it is collective organized effort of the community as a whole .Individuals on their own enjoy no autonomous space in this group or Community centric art form.
