AchieveMents: FIDR in Partnership with NASSCOM Foundation and Microsoft has been the pioneer in Orissa in bridging the urban rural divide by means of ICT and setting up of and managing "village knowledge centers" where rural folk can learn the IT skills which will empower them to make use of latest technologies and information in furthering their livelihood.FIDR has tied up with TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) to implement the LABL project(solar lantern project) in 7 unelectrified villages of Kendrapada district. FIDR has partnered with OCAC (Govt of Orissa department for information technology promotion) for imparting e literacy as well as soft skill training to rural youth through the ICT centers managed by FIDR.
