AchieveMents: Good Hope Foundation is a civil society organization established in 1996 (Registered under Indian Trust Act, Registration no. 228/96) that run by a team of development research professionals (Students of Gandhigram Rural University, Tamil Nadu, South India) from various inter-disciplines of Rural Development. Research and development intervention are the two core aspects of the organization. We take-up research studies on the current issues in the areas of social, economic, cultural and environment aspects and initiate action oriented projects based on the study results. We also enhance the capacities of individuals and grassroots level institutions working in the field of Rural Development through internship. We extend our consultancy services to other civil society organizations working in the areas of Women Development, Joint Forest Management and Information and Communication Technology for Development. Mission 1. To take up research studies on current social, economic, cultural and environmental issues to find out the causes and effects for initiating necessary development interventions 2. To foster and facilitate People’s Institutions to plan, implement, monitor and evaluate development interventions of poor, based on their felt needs and available local recourses 3. To work with and to influence the policies of the government and non-government organizations through development research and consultancy 4. To build the capacity of various actors in the field of Rural Development to better perform their role to achieve sustainable development 5. To provide development information to the needy through Information and Communication Technology to improve their quality of life and 6. To network with other organizations with similar stake in field of rural development.
