AchieveMents: EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL AWARENESS PROGRAMME BY HOHOZATRI
A six day long programme on the educational and social awareness programme was conducted by Hohozatri in Meslow village, Dibrugarh at Meslow M.E and High School from 15th July ââ¬â 20th July 2014. Hohzatri an NGO which took birth in the Dibrugarh University premises focuses to work for the rural development and youth empowerment by a group of students and professors of the University as a social contribution to its nearby areas. The six day long programme focused on the quality education to the students of the M.E to High school standard. Conceptual classes were under taken through various students and research scholars of Dibrugarh University, special emphasis was also given to the practical curriculum of the class X standard students and competitive exams question patterns. Training and practice of the games like the football and volleyball were also give to the interested students of any ages by the physical instructors from the Centre for Physical Education and Sports, Dibrugarh University. Approximately 150 students have participated in the camp and they expressed needfulness of such camps. Apart from these various group discussions were also arranged at different part of the village to make the villagers aware of the Govt. policies and programmes and special training on the scientific fish culture was also conducted with the different fish farmers and SHG undertaking fisheries projects. Hohozatri would like to express thanks to the students, villagers and the Meslow Village Development Committee for their hospitality and support.
