AchieveMents: The association is actively involved for the advancement and dissemination of knowledge of pathology in the animal health and production. The association is actively working to consolidate profession ethics and encourage brotherhood among the professionals for consequent attainment of excellence in pathology and disease diagnosis. To consolidate the highlight the efforts of Veterinary Pathologists/ disease diagnosticians for the purpose to lay down priorities on the current disease problems in animals and poultry and to suggest means to combat. The annual convention and symposia is being organized on regular basis for encouraging the academic pursuits of pathologists/disease diagnosticians by arranging presentation of research papers and invited lectures from pathologists and other scientists of eminence. The seminars and workshops are also been organized at zone/state level by the Members of Association. The recommendations of the annual conventions and the symposia are to be communicated to the livestock and poultry farmers for their interests and to state Government, ICAR, DST and other Govt. bodies to help them to chalk out development programmes at the National Level. The members of the association are also encouraged for their research aptitude and academic pursuit. The association has registered 1300 lifemember from different corner in the country who are actively engaged in disease diagnosis and investigation. The Association also publishes a journal ââ¬ÅIndian Journal of Veterinary Pathologyââ¬Â on Quarterly basis. The IAVP has created a certified body named Indian College of Veterinary Pathologists (ICVP) on the lines of American College of Veterinary pathologists (ACVP) for certification examination in veterinary pathology. The ICVP conducting certification examination for offering Diplomat ICVP status to the qualified Veterinary Pathologists through examination held every year. The ICVP has certified 53 pathologists as its registered diplomat based on their experience and performance in the qualifying diplomat examination. The association intends to strengthen the diagnostic pathology at all levels of the country by holding Zonal Conferences, Educational Seminar/Workshops etc.
