AchieveMents: Jan Shikshan Sansthan is non-formal vocational educational institution for adults. By liking literacy with training. JSS seek to improve the quality of life of the beneficiaries. This institution after the introduction of the National Literacy Mission in 1988, almost the entire country has been covered by the literacy campaigns and now JSS is being set up in different districts in the country to consolidate the gains of the literacy campaigns and improve the quality of life through vocational training. The JSS now has the entire district as its area of operation and they hare expected to work as district level resource support agencies in organizing vocational training programmes for neo literates.
