Major Activities and Achivements
Jhargram Kathakriti has been working in the field of social welfare since 2006. Through theatre activities the members have been engaged in propagating different constitutional rights mainly involving women and children. We have been organising workshops, seminars and street dramas to support and promote issues that are concerned with human resource development and health & family welfare. We have worked for issues like generating awareness regarding malaria-dengue prevention, Janani Suraksha Yojana, Child Marriage Prevention act, Right to Education Act, Right to Information Act etc. The Song&Drama Division of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India, the department of Sub-divisional Information & Culture had previously engaged us to generate mass awareness regarding different issues through drama. The response in the common milieu was overwhelming. Jhargram Kathakriti looks forward to be engaged in similar activities for ever as we feel it is our democratic and social duty.
