AchieveMents: MAJOR ACTIVITIES / ACHIEVEMENT : i) Promotion, Propagation and Perpetuation of the Martial Art and Sports form and value of education. ii) Enhancing involvement of youths in the activities through Art and Sports that lead world peace and harmony. iii) Engagement of Eminent person (Teacher) in the field of Martial Art and Manipuri Dance for imparting training and knowledge. iv) Development of Infrastructure viz. construction and Extension of Training Hall, Library Hall and enhancing the equipments. v) Research work of Dance and Martial Arts & Cultural value in Education by organising, seminar, discussion, documentation and lecture of expert in the field within and outside the country. vi) To provide accommodation and other applicable facilities the those young learners who are from far area. The artistes of this organisation have been working at both National and International level by participating at various cultural events, seminar and discussion throughout the country for the last twenty years. For the first time cover, a group of artistes from this organisation paid a month long visit to western and southern AFRICAN countries like KENYA, MALWI, ZAMBIA, MAURITIOUS and SOUTH AFRICA (24th June to 24th July 2007) under the Ministry Foreign Affairs, Govt. of India. to introduce this Art forms through Performance and attained a huge applause from the people of Africa and made them lured to established this Art form in their countries. The Organisation has been organising the cultrural Festival seminar and workshop of Martial Art and Lecture of strengthening the cultural value in education. More over the organisation has been performed the Festival and research and development work of Manipuri Dance. The artistes of this organisation had participated so many competition and festival of dance and Martial Art and acquired many award and prizes. EDUCATION TO THE CHILDREN : We believe that education is every child’s right. Learning and education lead to creativity, ambition and dreams. Moreover to create a healthier, more caring and more productive global society, we blieve that children’s future can be secure only when the children are insulated from exploitation, violence, abuse and neglect. A safe environment provides children with the opportunity to participated fully in their communities to exercise their skills and talents and to pursue their dreams. Access to education has a positive impact on a host of social problems afflicting marginalized children. Children who attend school are more likely to develop a positive self –image and higher self – esteem and to set goals for the future. In Manipur most of families on less than 2000/- a month. People live hand to mouth, utterly depend on each day’s wages. In this environment of pervasive poverty, its not unusual to see children as young as four or five working long hours under the broiling Indian sun, hauling bricks, harvesting crops or herding animals. This pattern of grueling child labour has existed out of necessity for generations and will continue into the future unless something is done to help these children break the cycle of bleak subsistence. Like all parents everyone wants a brighter future for their children. If given the chance, these honourable people would happily send their children to school. But in this remote area of Manipur (Hill area) school are few and far. Even for those who live near enough to a school, the required fees for uniforms, books and supplies are too high, when people are barely making enough to feed their children, how can they spare any money for school fees. Intimately familiar with the unique challenges and needs in the Manipur. Panthoibi Thang-Ta & Jagoi Sindam Shanglen has been working to bring free, quality education to the children. Before any friends were available, as more and more people have opened their hearts and given their support to Panthoibi Thang-Ta & Jagoi Sindam Shanglen Moirangkhunou, Manipur’s vision of providing free education. The Panthoibi Thang-Ta & Jagoi Sindam Shanglen’s Education programme has grown & blossoming like a beautiful desert flower.
