PRATIGYA Key Issues and Operational Areas, Major Activiities & Achivements

AchieveMents: 1. Sponsoring almost 200 underprivileged children through Education Vouchers which is Jharkhand’s first privately funded program that provides financial assistance to parents for sending their children to schools of their choice. More than 20 children have passed their matriculation successfully in the past years and are getting their higher education in various colleges. 2. First NGO in Jharkhand that has set up URGE (Unlimited Resources for Gaining Excellence) centers at Ranchi & Khunti with the help of the community, where children and adults can use its resources (books, computers, etc) for being counted themselves into the mainstreams. 3. Facilitated more than 50 children across the country for getting education in their chosen private schools under Right to Education Act of Indian Government. 4.Impacted the lives of almost 500 children through Srijan Bachpan sessions on life-skills, personality development, decision making, etc. 5. First NGO that has set up a bank like co-operative in Jharkhand, run by the children and for the children, where children deposit their savings so as to be independent at times of emergency. More than 300 members are enrolled into it currently and saved an amount of Rs.90000 into their respective accounts. 6. First NGO in Jharkhand to set up a health co-operative run by the children for the community. 7. Empowered the women of Lodhma (rural) to form various groups to look after the overall aspects of development in their village. 8. Influenced almost 700 young minds of different colleges of Jharkhand to join the social sector and work for the society under the project YUVA of the organisation.
