AchieveMents: READs is currently implementing The Program, in 9 Blocks of Thiruvannamalai District covering Chetpet, Arani, West Arani, Peranamallur, Thellar, Vandavasi, Anakavur, Cheyyar and Vembakkam. As part of this program, READS organizes open house meetings, School Out Reach activities and awareness programs for SHGs/CBOs other groups and individuals. 1.2 Coverage of the above activities of the program in 2015-16 Child protection scheme -1098 1. 1098 child line awareness programmes organized Total no of Groups covered : 282 Total Members benefited : 23048 Total no of small Groups covered : 178 Total Members benefited : 1068 Total no of individuals covered : 6199 Total Individuals benefited : 30315 2. Total no of villages covered : 155 Under section 52 Act of Persons With Disabilities (PWD) Act 1995, Registration accorded and orders issued to READS by the Commissioner for the Differently Abled, Chennai for the period from 1st June 2014 to 6th August 2016.
