AchieveMents: One of the most active institutes of performing arts in Manipur the institute has been appreciated in and outside Manipur not only for its own compositions of traditional Manipuri dances of Raas Leela like Maharas Vasantaraas Divaraas Nityaraas Kunjaraas Lai haraoba and tribal dances but also for its creative compositions on contemporary thems Under the tutelage of its founder member M. Thoiba Singh and Pradhan Guru Smt. Lata Thounaojam who is also the first among the Manipuri female choreographers having recieved formal training in Choreography the institute has also earned a distinction for its compositions like Nachom on National Integration. Hey manipur on communal harmony in the state Poirei Chanurasing Meekap thokle on womens emancipation movement with reference to Manipuri women Abhisar based on song of Rabindra Sangeet Abhiram Prasanga Dance Drama Eklavya Dance Drama including a number of compositions for school children in addition to its much acclaimed Chakpa Jagoi a composition of Chakpa dances and various compositions of tribal dances. Committed to imparting knowledge of traditional performing arts of Manipur to the younger generations the institute has visited many places of India and abroad within till date Organising of seminars and workshops on the traditional dance and music of Manipur is one area the centre has seriously proposed to take up from time to time
