AchieveMents: Since the inception in the year 1952 SILPIMON as a theatre Group has been playing a pioneering role in the field of theatre movement .We have been consistantly holding Drama Festivals and theatreworkshops, promoting cultural activities among the rural youths and producing dramas in our stage and hired stages at kolkata and also at other stages at rural areas .We publishe theatre Journal PROSCENIUM where stalwarts like Utpal Dutta. Tapas Sen , Jochan Dastidar and many contemporary theatre personalities subscribed . In 1972 we established a open air theater Stage BINODINI NATYA MANDIR and dedicated to the memory of Binodini, the legendary actress of renaissance Bengal . In 2013 on the occassion of 150th birth aniversary of Binodini we took up a yearlong program and introduced Binodini memorial speech and Binodino memorial Award worg Rs. 5000/- to a veteran theater personality . many of our theater productiond in the rcent years three out standing productions are Darpan , Binod Katah and Musalparba . At present we are organizing week end theater performances in colaboration with threee other theater groups and we are getting a massive response.
