AchieveMents: Livelihood issue
: - 13 Farmers Club in 16 villages have been formed; now they are producing safety food crops in the community
- 8 Food banks in 8 villages have been developed and make available in the community at least 10 months in a year
- 1 (one) artisansââ¬â¢ club has been formed and taking active participation in the state level Exhibitions
- 450 BPL families obtained their BPL, AAY ration cards;
they are strongly involve in Advocacy for proper implementation of Public distribution system (PDS). Now they are regularly entitled 35 Kgs of rice and SK oil, LPG in subsidised rate
- 400 farmers and women were trained in soap making, detergent powder making, blanket making, organic fertilizer making. Pest management which enhance their daily income
Documentation : - Documented bio diversity resources from Five villages for protection
- Translated UNSCR 1325 in local dialect
Awareness : - 1500 villagers have aware about the issue of food crises at the district for seeking support from concern departments
Capacity Building : - 120 women Leaders were given series of trainings on human rights, UNSCR 1325 gender, non- Violent conflict transformation, local capacity for peace
- Supported small travel grand to 12 women leaders enable their effective engagement in the women related issue at local, national and international
- 4 (Four) women accessed leadership training in Asian Rural Institute, Japan enable to transfer their learning to the rural women
Advocacy : - Food distribution system reformed in the state after state level public hearing conducted with our state level partners of sustainable livelihood forum which was convened by WSDC
- Initiated in the formation of state level livelihood forum for policy advocacy on food security in Manipur
- 237 women victims of HIV-AIDS, armed conflict and widows of Chandel District, Manipur have filed their different petitions before the Harsh Mandal Commission for Public Hearing on Right to Food which was held on 11-12 July, 2012 at Palace Compound Imphal. This Commission recommended valuable directives to the State Chief Secretary relating to PDS benefits to HIV infected persons, armed conflict victims, covering young Widowsââ¬â¢ in pension scheme, priority to widows in rural self employment programs, easy access to PDS items in the remote/hill villages of Manipur. Accordingly these recommendations are materialised w.e.f. April, 2013

Gender : - 50 Women in Governance (WING) Promoter in 5 villages have been developed; they are actively involving in gender in development and gender violence prevention activities.
