AchieveMents: The critical focus of SRC Dispur is giving technical and Resource support to the adult education Program . For that, SRC Dispur endeavor to create an environment for non literates to continue their learning in literacy classes. SRC Dispur conduct some basic literacy classes to support SLMA in four SBM Districts. Till date 7000 non literate are adopted by SRC Dispur and made literate and certified by NIOS. During this Financial Year 1580 are enrolled under SRC Dispur. The intervention in SAGY villages are creating awareness, convergence with PRI and to all Voluntary Teachers and preroks of SAGY Villages, timely support of some TLM to learners and constant monitoring and support for 100% literacy. Achieved 68.35% literacy in SAGY Villages. Out of 12384 non literates identified in SAGY, 8465 have declared passed by NIOS upto march 2016 and others are going to appear in the next NIOS to make 100% literacy in SAGY Villages. SRC Dispur has established and strengthen eight AEC as model for others.
The prime concern of SRC Dispur is to do some Action research on issues of literacy and it is our great achievement that we have completed two of our action research work during FY 2015-16 named ââ¬ÅIdentification of Local dialects and possibility of developing special primer on each dialectââ¬Â and ââ¬ÅRole and Responsibilities of PRI functionaries in SBM ( A critical analysis of practical implementation of the concept with special reference to Dhuburi district)ââ¬Â.
Another major achievement of SRC Dispur is that development and production of resource books of social issues of witch hunting, women violence, women health. Two graded material of three in each subject named ââ¬ÅHealthââ¬Â and ââ¬ÅSwatchataââ¬Â. Translation of Handbooks for preraks on IPMC developed by NLMA was also done during 2015-16 FY
A series of training programmes for its functionaries and also for district level and block lever coordinators have been organized to capacitated them in the literacy/empowerment process.
Publication of annual report and newsletter one in English and one in Assamese are also regularly publishing by SRC Dispur. Assamese Newsletter is for neo literates to continue learning. Translation of equivalency primer in Bengali medium for open basic literacy is also one of the great achievement of SRC Dispur.
