AchieveMents: Surachana Education and Charitable Trust is a registered trust. Registration no. is E/5819/surat date: 20/09/2004. It is registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 (29) Having the mission of upbringing life of people through different activities Surachana Education and Charitable Trust has been working restlessly for last 6 years.Team members of Surachana Education and Charitable trust had been working 10 flood affected villages of Surat District in collaboration with “Citizen’s Initiative surat”. Apart from flood affected villages the organization has carried out Mid term and Final Evaluation of six Watershed Projects in state of Gujarat. The organizations is also extending supporting hand to the needy and poor people by providing assistance for treatment of their health problems by organizing medical camps in villages and carry out different welfare activities to help the poor, widows and needy people. To continue their study and boost up their motivational level, the Surachana Trust provides scholarships, free text books and other educational assistance to the poor and economical backward students especially Primary school children. Surachana Trust is very much involved in carrying out three Livelihood Awareness Programmes in villages of Surat and Dang district with collaboration of Khadi and Village industries Corporation of India –New Delhi. Surachana Trust has organized several Leadership Programs for youth, training for Women Empowerment and training on CBO formation. The organisation has organized Essay Competitions, Drawing Competitions and Elocution Competitions for the Primary School children. During the natural calamities Surachana Trust plays vital role in dissemination of useful and relevant information to the communities and carries out IEC activities in affected areas.
