AchieveMents: The cultural pilgrimage under Mahakavi Akkitham,conducted in 1991from Kanyakumari to Gokarnam was unprecedented in the culture history of Kerala. To commemorate the 25th year of above yatra A SAGARA THEERTHAYATRA from Kanyakumari to Gokarnam through coastal Kerala and SAHYASANU YATRA from Mukambika to Kanyakumri was conducted in 2016 covering 3100 Kms lasting one month. PAMPA PAITHRIKOTSAVAM to protect the holy Pampa river and its civilisation was conducted this year from 22.4.17 to 22.4.18.
