AchieveMents: Vanita Shishu Vihar was established from a thought of few committed women of Banaskantha District on March 1st 1990 The organization has now grown and has offices in Deesa and Ambaji towns of the Banaskantha district The organization has its head office in Palanpur the district place The organization has begun its activities from the implementation of programs for women and child development. Its scope of work has grown in the areas of Health nutrition education, HIVAIDS and Socio economic development of women and children in Bansakantha district Family Counseling cente VSV started Family Counseling center at Palanpur since 1992 with the support from the Central Social Welfare Board New Delhi Due to the emerging trend of nuclear family in society familial problems in the area shows increasing trend number wise and frequency wise Following is the overview of the work done by VSV through FCC for the purpose of establishing harmony among the families in this area VSV has the experience of counseling 1332 female on various issues related to family problems Nation AIDS Control Program Preventing HIVAIDS Initiatives VSV has taken up the challenge of working for HIVAIDS prevention and control with Migrant populations from 2000 with Slum population and today it has expanded its intervention with Core composite MSM and FSW in Palanpur Ambaji Danta Block Deesa and most importantly with Vadiya village women the village know as village of sex workers in Gujarat TI strategy focuses on following four component of the project Condom Promotion STD treatment facility provision for above groups Behavior Change communication BCC for self risk perception and sustained safe sexual behavior Creating an enabling environment for community empowerment for rational decision making and community ownership of the project Overview of the activities under TI project with FSWs and MSMs One to one and one to group contact Establishment of Clinics for STD service provisions Mass meetings and cultural event celebration with the target group Meetings with External stake holders like police managers of guest houses Gurus of Eunuchs groups etc General medical camps and awareness and exhibition programs in the areas Following is brief overview of the community mobilization and service provision apart from regular one to one one to group contact small meetings with target groups exhibitions camps street plays and capacity building event Integrated Rural HIV AIDS Awereness Programme To reduce the spread of STD HIV AIDS in Rural Villages particularly through peer education programme to increase condom use and strengthen treatments for STD and taken BCC This project work in Palanpur Vadagam Danta Dhanera Dantiwada Amirghath Block in banaskantha district In this project to gave the information of how can aware of HIV AIDS Reproductive and Child Health Care Project MNGO Reduce mortality and Mobility rate reduce gender bies reduce superstition problem for pregnant women and increase nutrition level and First Aid facility The most activities of this project in Surela PHC of Amirghath Block in Banaskantha District for rural and illiterate women
